I am an Artist that aims to convey the importance of ethnicity and one's connection to self. Alongside the relationships around us such as those with our families, friendships and intimate relationships. The work that I produce to portray these relationships centre themselves upon form and functionality, therefore focus on the use of the artwork and how it can be interwoven into everyday use. This is why I tend to work on wearable art, such as wearable sculptures and commercial clothing. As these items pull away of the stereotype that is 'Art is meant to be admired and looked at', which in-fact I design and create to wear. To enhance the materials use and influence the viewers interaction with the artwork.
